As the Official Provider of Mobile Satellite Services to the Volvo Ocean Race 2008-2009, Stratos is proud to be a part of the team that ensures that race organizers and racing crews remain in touch throughout the gruelling nine-month ocean marathon.
The 10th edition of the Volvo Ocean Race will begin in October 2008 when 11 yachts embark from Spain on the first leg of their nine-month ocean marathon. For the first time, a media specialist aboard each yacht will transmit video footage and interviews back to shore via Fleetbroadband.
